The JSA cannot make or copy CDs for sale due to copyright and licensing restrictions. When CDs are available commercially you will find a note at the bottom of the performer’s biography page informing you where you can find the performer’s CDs for sale. You may also click the "Send A Note" link at the bottom of any performer’s biography page if you wish to communicate directly with the performer or his/her representative.

All of the music on the JSA website is copyright protected. The music is provided in a non-downloadable streaming audio format to prevent copies from being made which would violate this copyright protection.
Website visitors who attempt to download recordings will have their JSA listening privileges revoked.
If you can hear music on other websites, your JSA listening privileges may have been revoked. This happens when it is determined that an attempt was made to illegally download music from the website.
You can visit the Test Flash page to see if your computer has been banned. You will receive a message that your computer has been blocked. However, if your computer
can load the player on the Test Flash page and you can hear the music then you have not been banned.
If you believe your JSA listening privileges have been revoked in error you can request reinstatement by sending an email message to the JSA webmaster. Please include a brief explanation of the situation.
You do not need any special programs to access the music on this website. However, your browser must have an installed Flash plug-in. To find out if your browser has the free Flash Plug-in click on the "Test Flash" button below.
You can find albums by specific performers by using the Music tab at the top of the page and then clicking on Performers. By clicking the icons under the thumbnail photos you will be able to find biographical information about the performer or an album list. You can then click on any album to hear the music and see the song titles.
You can find albums by record labels by using the Music tab at the top of the page and then clicking on Record Labels. By clicking the buttons under the thumbnail photos you will be able to find information about the record label collection [Bio] or an album list [Music]. You can then click on any album to hear the music and see the song titles.
You can find albums of specific genres by using the Music tab at the top of the page and then using the drop-down menu under Collections. Click on any selection to hear the music and see the song titles.

o I can’t hear the music. What should I do?
- Does your browser have the Flash-plug in? Please see "Do I need any special program to play the music?" above.
- Are your speakers connected and turned on?
- Is your "Mute" button turned off?
- Does your browser (Internet Explorer) cache need to be cleaned?
o Click on Internet Options
o Make sure you're on the "General" tab
o Under "Temporary Internet Files" (in the middle of the page) click on "Delete Files"
o (Note: The "Internet Options" page is slightly different in IE 7, but the approach is essentially the same.)
o Check the box "Delete all offline content"
o Click OK. It will take a minute or longer to clear all of the files if you haven't done this lately.
o Click OK to close the Internet Options screen
If you continue to have problems, please contact the JSA Webmaster for further assistance.
The most common cause of this problem is that you have multiple browsers open. To correct this problem, close all browsers until you have only one. If you have tabs, verify that only one JSA tab is open.
Yes. We accept all Judaica sound recordings including those with spoken dialogue. Click on the "Donate" tab at the top of the page and then click on "Recordings" for further information.
No. We are not permitted to put a market value on donated materials. An acknowledgment letter will be sent to you with a count of donated recordings, which you can use to estimate value for tax purposes.
You can find some recordings for sale on www.ebay.com. That might help you to put a value on your recordings.
No. The function of our volunteer zamlers is to publicize the JSA and to solicit donations of recordings. Packing and shipping are the responsibility of the donor.
