Sam Eskin In Israel

Sam Eskin is an American in Israel recording folk music throughout the new country. He would travel to the somewhat isolated areas of Israel to find those cultures whose folk music was not usually heard in the more populous communities. Mr. Eskin started recording folk music in the United States before he even knew what folk music was. He did know that he liked it. Coming to Israel to do the same thing was the natural thing for him to do in his eyes. There are parts of 3 selections on this program as well as occasional background music of a few untitled pieces, all recorded by Mr. Exkin in his Israel travels:

1) Miriam Bat Nisim, is sung by Yashil Wilinsky. 7:08 - 9:53

2) Folk Symphony was written by Menachim Avedon. 9:47 - 10:19

3) An Arab wedding party music recorded outside the home of the newlyweds. 12:42 - 12:51
