By gathering and recording some of the most beloved Yiddish folk and art songs from the 19th and early 20th centuries with new arrangements and settings, Cantor Lissek imbues new life and meaning into them. The Cantor's vocal style is perfectly suited to the songs he sings; at once making the listener nostalgic for the golden age of the past while at the same time creating memorable songs for the next generation.
