Bracha Skulnick is one of the foremost interpreters of folk and art songs, be they Yiddish, Hebrew or English. Born in Russia of rabbinical-Hassidic background, her skill and charm in the singing of the folk songs on this album demonstrate her experience as well as her warm and gracious personality. The songs she selected evoke a broad spectrum of moods including lullabies, prayerful pieces, love songs, and even humor.
