Composed in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the State of Israel this Hallel Oratorio, by the Israeli-American Issachar Miron, is performed by Cantor Louis Danto and the Beth Abraham Youth Chorale. The music encompasses a wide variety of traditions: the improvisational style of Eastern European cantorial music; the more reserved and hymn-like expression of the Western European cantorial music; the exuberant dance music of the Hassidim; and the Oriental element that is such a vital influence in the music of contemporary Israel.
